The CST Model

Progress Advisors, LLC uses the CST (Core, Satellite and Tactical) approach to build the investment portfolios and to be able to easily visualize the diversification of the portfolio in three dimensions, classes of assets, risks and investment style.

CST provides a reference framework and a disciplined and strategic thinking model for long term planning.
For the Core area, we start from a global macroeconomic approach (top down) that sets the general diversification strategy for asset classes, geographic regions and currencies.

For the Satellite and Tactical part, the implementation of the strategy has an asset selection approach (bottom up) as a tool to help optimize the performance of the portfolios.
The CST is not a product, fund or portfolio strategy.
It is a method through which we can develop with our clients a long term investment plan.
